How can you govern in a bipartisan manner with someone who will never meet you halfway without “bidding against yourself”? Remember the many times in the past that Ds agreed to amend proposed legislation to accommodate R requests, only to get zero R votes when it came time for a final vote.
It does look hard but the status quo of hate, divide, and gridlock is worse. I’m confident Gina will find that right combination of compromise when needed and sticking to her guns when its time.
